Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Cardfolio application and related services. By using Cardfolio, you agree to these Terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple's Standard EULA, Apple's terms control where required.

1. The service

Cardfolio helps users scan, review, store, search, sync, and export business-card information. Features may depend on your device, operating system, network connection, account status, and subscription tier.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and all activity under your account. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of content you provide to Cardfolio. You give Cardfolio permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Business cards can contain another person's personal information. You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful and appropriate basis to capture, store, use, share, or export that information.

4. Cardfolio Premium subscriptions

  • Cardfolio may offer monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's App Store.
  • The current planned prices are US $4.99 per month and US $29.99 per year. The price shown by Apple at purchase is the price that applies and may vary by region.
  • Eligible users may receive a seven-day introductory trial when shown by Apple before purchase.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account subscription settings.
  • Deleting your Cardfolio account or the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.
  • Refund requests and billing disputes are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Free features and changes

Cardfolio may offer free and paid features. We may improve, add, remove, or change features, limits, and pricing. Material changes will be communicated when reasonably required.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use Cardfolio unlawfully or violate another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.
  • Upload malicious content, interfere with the service, evade access controls, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Abuse automated systems, trials, subscriptions, or service-provider resources.
  • Reverse engineer Cardfolio except where applicable law expressly permits it.

7. Availability and disclaimers

Cardfolio uses automated text recognition and parsing, which may be incomplete or inaccurate. You must review extracted information before relying on it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cardfolio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cardfolio and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption arising from use of the service. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Cardfolio or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or secure the service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
